Traditional presidential recognition for high achievers 'delayed'
A Internet report that President Obama has not been signing Eagle Scout certificates for high achievers who belong to the organization that espouses traditional and largely conservative values is grounded in fact, according to commenters who were responding to an opinion article from WND columnist Chuck Norris on the issue.
But even more people were suggesting they wouldn't want Obama's signature on a document of such importance in the lives of their children.
Norris recently quoted a report from Human Events in which the assistant Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 162 in Virginia's Arlington County confirmed, "No Eagle recognition letters have been received this year from the president."
