Nashville country music legend Hank Williams Jr. released a new single titled "Keep the Change" on Tuesday, and in the span of just over 24 hours the song has garnered almost 150,000 free downloads.
The song came about in the wake of last week's controversy after Williams appeared on Fox & Friends and slammed President Obama, comparing him to Hitler. "You remember the golf game they had? That was one of the biggest political mistakes ever," Williams fumed, referring to Obama and John Boehner's attempt to reach some degree of compromise by taking part in a bipartisan golf outing. "That'd be like Hitler playing golf with [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu, okay? Not hardly. In the country this shape is in?" he demanded, then corrected himself. "In the shape this country is in? They're the enemy. They're the enemy."
When one of the hosts asked Williams who he was referring to, he exploded, "Obama! And Biden! Are you kidding? The Three Stooges," to which another of the three hosts pointed out, "That's only two."
