Today Dallas is abuzz with news reports of a 14 year old girl raped at the #Occupy Wall Street Protest in Dallas. It was by a registered sex offender and he was arrested. (1) This is not an isolated incident and rapes at #Occupy Wall Street are being reported all over the country. If you have any experience in this area most women are reluctant to publically report these sad events and many more are possibly occurring.
But is our media helping to warn potential attendees of this real and present danger? Of course not! They are actively promoting the cause.
Instead the media is focused on their new target of ancient allegations against Herman Cain. What exactly transpired is not even clearly known but it is front page and lead story on nearly every media.
My question is why actual rapes are not counted as an assault against women but opportunistic women gaming the system for a payout are? From all indications they women involved in the Herman Cain story and I must say indications as few facts are out had a comment they thought was inappropriate. How does that compare to an actual public rape?
Perhaps the women forced to endure this tragedy should seek a payout from #Occupy Wall Street.
#Occupy Wall Street has their own solution in the New York City protest. They are advising victims not to call the Police and they will shine a flashlight in the rapist face and tell them they are not welcome. (2) Does that seem fair to a victim who must endure this trauma her entire life?
Once again the hypocrisy of the liberal media is on full public display to those with eyes to see and ears to hear. A flashlight punishment for a rape victim for a favorite cause versus a media crucifixion for Herman Cain on unproven allegations from well over a decade ago that were settled?
Does Herman Cain get a flashlight? Since it was not an actual rape and possibly just someone who felt offended should we use a penlight instead?
Women in our society deserve far better than this. My heart and prayers goes out to these victims. I look forward to the day justice will be served for them.
The snow turned their tents into igloos, but the close quarters also made easy pickings for one predator.A sex fiend barged into a woman's tent and sexually assaulted her at around 6 a.m., said protesters, who chased him from the park.
"Pervert! Pervert! Get the f--k out!" said vigilante Occupiers, who never bothered to call the cops.
"They were shining flashlights in his face and yelling at him to leave," said a woman who called herself Leslie, but refused to give her real name.
She said that weeks earlier another woman was raped.
