The horrible and untimely deaths of the school children of Sandy Hook has left us all reeling emotionally. Who can look at the beautiful little faces of these angels and not be deeply moved by this senseless tragedy? Collectively our hearts break as their funerals began and their families and loved ones lay them to rest.
I have no doubt they are all welcomed in to Heaven with open arms and one day will be reunited with their families. There is a hope and joy that my God gives in times like this. A hope of healing and restoration that the insanity of this world can not touch or destroy.
The nation is truly moved by this event. There are many calls for changes in public policies to prevent the death of additional children. Society is moved to protect our innocent little ones on a national level like never before. I applaud the concern and wish to make America a safe and loving nation for all of our children that they may grow in peace and prosperity. I dream of a society based on Agape unconditional love where we build each other up and encourage strong families, schools and a healthy society.
That is why I am also confounded by the 1400 little babies killed by abortion every day is applauded. The same politicians and public that are outraged at the death of 20 simultaneously ignore the deaths of 1400 little babies every day and applaud it as good public policy.
What is the difference between the two? Both begin life in the same way and also in the same manner as those reading this. There is no difference in conception or how a person grows in the womb. There is only a cycle of life. All of those poor souls who are aborted are just as beautiful and wonderful as these children.
If we want to debate preserving life then let us do it openly and with our eyes on reality. Just a Jesus said in Matthew 7:3

3 Why do you [a]stare from without at the [b]very small particle that is in your brother’s eye but do not become aware of and consider the beam [c]of timber that is in your own eye?
4 Or how can you say to your brother, Let me get the tiny particle out of your eye, when there is the beam [d]of timber in your own eye?
5 You hypocrite, first get the beam of timber out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the tiny particle out of your brother’s eye.
If we as a nation want to debate life then let us count the cost of our society in all areas. And if we are serious about what we discuss then let there be action.
